This is a great snack full of protein…and as a bonus they kinda taste like cookie dough ;). You can use Chocolate or Vanilla protein powder for this recipe, either one will do the trick.
No Bake Protein Balls
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 1/4 cup raw organic honey
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 scoops chocolate protein powder
- 1 cup oats
- 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup carob or dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup currants or raisins
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl mix together the almond butter, honey, almond milk and vanilla extract.
Add in the protein powder and mix well.
Add in the oats, coconut, chocolate chips and currants. If mixture is dry splash in some more almond milk, or if too liquidy sprinkle in some more protein powder until desired consistency.
Mix well and shape into balls. Place balls on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper and let set in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
ENJOY!

Perfect treat! I have my laptop in the kitchen right now and I’m about to make these sans the raisins. Thanks for the recipe!
Awesome! Let me know how they turn out 🙂
These have to be so much better for you than the store-bought protein bars and the like 🙂

Yes they are…and much better for you as well! I call most store bought protein bars “glorified chocolate bars”. Many are full of ingredients I can’t pronounce. Hope you enjoy em’! 🙂
True!
I consider store-bought granola bars to be candy bars… homemade ones aren’t loaded with corn syrup, etc.! 🙂
